John Wolpert, the founder of San Francisco based Upstart Mobile, a venture funded startup launched out of Best Buy, comes to Columbia Wednesday to help CETi, The Center for Entrepreneurial and Technological Innovation at USC, kick off its Start! Innovation Series.

Startup guru Wolpert is also a leader of IBM’s Extreme Blue Incubator in Austin, Texas, and a published author in the Harvard Business Review. He’s passionate about business development, technology, startups, coding/hacking, talent management and business concept innovation.
The Start! Innovation Series invites aspiring entrepreneurs and innovators to connect and learn from seasoned startup mentors with both local and national entrepreneurial success. The goal is to have an unfiltered discussion about the challenges, risks and opportunities these entrepreneurs have faced on their journey to startup success.
