June 11, 2012, Nick Stomski, SIOR, a member of NAI Avant’s Industrial Brokerage Team, recently brokered the sale of 879 Guignard Drive in Sumter, SC. The 29,700 square foot fabrication shop sold for $825,000 and was purchased by Thompson Construction of Sumter. Stomski represented the seller in the transaction.

Orders are taken online and customers can pick them up twice a month at four locations in the Columbia area: Lexington, Northeast and Southeast Columbia, and the South Carolina Farmers’ Market. Sea Manna currently offers shrimp in 5 lb. bags but will soon add oysters, clams, hybrid striped bass and more before the end of the year. The launch arrives at the perfect time, right in the beginning of a record breaking start to the shrimp season.
The company is the brainchild of Clay Chappell, a local fish hatchery owner who is a native of Columbia, SC. He has been involved in the fish business for over thirty years and is excited to deliver affordable fresh seafood to the community. Clay spent many hours brainstorming how to provide the freshest seafood possible from the Carolina coasts to give people of the Midlands an opportunity to experience what “fresh” really tastes like. The plan was simple. By taking pre-orders from customers, the fishermen would catch-to-order, ensuring that you are getting the freshest seafood possible. Pre-determined pick up locations would make the fresh seafood easily accessible.

Snelling Staffing Employees Awarded

Lexington, S.C. – June 15, 2012 – At the annual employee luncheon of Snelling Staffing Services of the Midlands, five employees were recognized for outstanding achievement and service. Natalie Henderson, Business Development Manager, received the Star Performer Award for social media/marketing contributions, as well as the company’s Achievement Award for 2011-2012. Paige Bates, Staffing Manager, received the Rising Star Award for her success in career placements. Service recognitions were awarded for Bryce England, Operations Manager, twelve years; Elizabeth Trenbeath, President, sixteen years; and Gina McCuen, owner and company founder, thirty years.
Snelling would also like to congratulate Ms. Henderson for graduating with the Leadership Columbia Class of 2012. She was co-chair of the Free Medical Clinic Project of the class, which included generating much needed supplies, volunteers, and awareness about the clinic, as well as a refurbishment of the clinic and installation of a new walkway covering.
