The Midlands Technical College Foundation will award $100,000 in scholarships to individuals enrolling in the college’s Corporate and Continuing Education Quick-Jobs programs for the 2012 fall semester. The scholarships provide tuition assistance for unemployed or underemployed residents of Lexington, Richland and Fairfield counties. The deadline to apply for both the fall scholarship and the Quick-Jobs program registration is August 1. Scholarship applications can be found here.
The Midlands Technical College (MTC) Quick-Jobs program was established in response to the Midlands’ rising need for employment in critical areas such as information technology (IT) and healthcare. Quick-Jobs is an accelerated education program that allows for students to prepare for these high-demand jobs in as short a time as possible, often in less than three months.
