Andrew L. Richardson Jr. Joins MG&C’s Columbia office

The law firm of McAngus Goudelock & Courie is pleased to announce that Andrew L. Richardson Jr. has joined the firm’s Columbia, S.C. office. Mr. Richardson’s practice focuses on business and construction litigation as well as general liability defense.

He received his law degree from the Charleston School of Law, where he served as the chief justice on the Moot Court Board and received the Pro Bono Award for Excellence in Community Service. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of South Carolina. He is a member of the South Carolina Bar Association.

NAI AVANT PROJECT MANAGES CONSTRUCTION FOR PALMETTO ENDOSCOPY’S NEW BUILDING IN COLUMBIA, SC

NAI Avant’s Project Management Division is pleased to announce the completion of Palmetto Endoscopy on Taylor Street in the Central Business District of Columbia, SC. NAI Avant’s Rick Owen, Vice President of Property and Project Management, along with Ross Marple, Project Manager, oversaw the completion of the 13,000 square foot medical office renovation. Architectural firm, LTC Associates of Columbia, SC designed the former CVS Pharmacy into a new medical office facility.  Weathers Contracting Company of Columbia, SC served as General Contractors over the project.

Currently Palmetto Endoscopy occupies 7,000 square feet of space with 6,000 square feet still available for lease.

Fall Main Street Marketplace Begins Friday, September 2

As the notorious Columbia summer heat dies down, Main Street Marketplace is gearing up for another great season. Presented by City Center Partnership (CCP), the Marketplace is a gathering of local goods, ranging from crafts, photography, art, books, handmade gifts, and more.

The Main Street Marketplace will be held from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. in front of the Columbia Museum of Art at the corner of Hampton and Main Street.  The Market runs every Friday in September and October. In addition to an open-air market, there will also be a drawing for a door prize each week, as well as live music of all genres for attendees’ entertainment. This Friday, the Market will feature local Jamie Beresford, an acoustic rock/jazz guitar trio. Future artists include Matt Younglove, David Reed, Luckyman Beall, Brent Lundy, and Jeremy Sakovich.
