About The Cooperative Ministry
Since 1982, The Cooperative Ministry—a Columbia based nonprofit—has worked to improve the quality of life for the working poor in the Midlands by providing direct assistance, counseling, prayer and guidance to other available community resources. Not only does The Cooperative Ministry provide emergency assistance to the working poor, it also offers many of them the opportunity to gain independence through financial sustainability programs. This is achieved through a coordinated effort that includes over 100 partnering agencies, congregations, civic and social organizations, foundations, businesses and individuals. www.coopmin.org
