Columbia Metropolitan Airport Redoubles Efforts to Support
Small, Minority, and Women Owned Businesses
Columbia Metropolitan Airport (CAE) is redoubling efforts to award contracts to and purchase goods and services from small, minority, and women owned businesses.
With 43 businesses providing over 1,500 jobs and countless other opportunities for contracts and services, CAE is an economic force in the Midlands region and recognizes that by supporting these small businesses it can have an even greater impact on the local economy.
Airport director Dan Mann says that engaging more businesses ultimately just makes sense for the airport’s bottom line. “By widening the range of businesses we look to for contracts and services we’re leveling the playing field and creating a more competitive arena in which all companies can compete for airport business. Ultimately, this is going to ensure that we’re getting the best quality work at the best rate,” says Mann. “More importantly,” he continues, “This initiative will result in airport business going to a more complete representation of the communities that it serves.”
Business opportunities with CAE range from industrial supplies providers and equipment to financial and promotional. Businesses that would like to be considered for work with the airport are encouraged to contact Teresa Deliz (firstname.lastname@example.org) and submit their name, the name of their business, their industry, and all contact information.
