Greater Columbia Chamber of Commerce to Host Reception Celebrating Small and Minority Businesses

The Greater Columbia Chamber of Commerce will host a reception on Tuesday, Jan. 22, celebrating the contributions of small and minority businesses to the Greater Columbia Region. This event is open to Columbia Chamber members and nonmembers and will be held in the Palmetto Room at the Chamber from 4:30 to 6 p.m.

The reception will include light refreshments and a discussion on the following topics:

  • the Chamber’s Small and Minority Business 2013 Plan of Action
  • the City of Columbia’s resources available to assist small businesses
  • Richland County programs designed to support small businesses
  • Business networking opportunities

“Supporting small business and it’s development in the Greater Columbia Region is one of our greatest initiatives at the Chamber,” said Lee Catoe,  special assistant to the CEO and director of community affairs at the Greater Columbia Chamber. “We hope that this reception will serve as an opportunity to show our appreciation and support while sharing pertinent information with our small businesses that will help them continue to thrive.”
