S.C. Chamber Grassroots Meeting Coming to the Midlands

Mark Your Calendar to Attend This Important Discussion and Networking Opportunity

Members of the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce and Midlands Area Chambers of Commerce are already preparing for a successful 2014 legislative session to continue the mission to improve South Carolina’s business climate and global competitiveness. This important policy-changing work begins at home, at the grassroots level.

You are invited attend the Midlands Grassroots Meeting on Tuesday, September 10 from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at the AT&T Auditorium in Columbia. There will be a $10 charge at the door for lunch.

The Grassroots Meeting will be an open-forum session and is one of the first steps in creating the Competitiveness Agenda, the business community’s annual list of legislative priorities. It will begin with a legislative review from South Carolina Chamber staff before moving into an open discussion of legislative issues that businesses believe must be addressed. Once the issues are defined and strategies are developed, the Chamber educates legislative officials to create an environment that will improve the business climate in South Carolina.
