October was a busy month on the Upper East Side. Last week we hosted a panel on healthcare reform at the Business at Sunrise event. We had a lot of questions and our panelists did a great job helping peel away the layers of some complicated legislation.
Earlier in the month, we were guests of the Blythewood Chamber of Commerce at Chamberfest and got a chance to visit with Chamber members from Chapin, Kershaw, Fairfield, and Blythewood. Our Congressional Representative Joe Wilson spent some time with the group.
Our own NE Council will be doing some planning for the upcoming year on Wednesday, Nov 13th. Got ideas about how to improve our Chamber events? Interested in seeing your NE Council get more involved? Send your suggestions to us via our Facebook page.
Now here’s what’s coming up on the Upper East Side:
Wildewood Aesthetic Dentistry Ribbon Cutting, Nov 8
Please join your NE Area Council, Sheriff Lott, Dr. Baron Davis, Principal of Spring Valley High School, and our Greater Columbia Chamber of Commerce diplomats as we help Wildewood Aesthetic Dentistry open their new location at 230 Graces Way. The ceremony will be held at 5 p.m.
Business After Hours at Grow Financial, Nov 19
Grow Financial opens its doors this month. On November 19th from 5:30 until 7:30, a reception will be held at the new Grow Financial office in the Village at Sandhill. The ribbon cutting ceremony with Chamber dignitaries will be followed by refreshments at 163 Forum Drive Suite 1. Come out and welcome our newest financial services neighbor to the area.
