Columbia Metropolitan Airport and USO South Carolina are providing more than 10,000 care packages for soldiers heading home for the holidays and are in need of your help. The two organizations are looking for up to 400 volunteers to help stuff gallon sized Zip Lock bags with water, tissue, lip balm, candy and other snacks that the troops can take with them as they journey home.
Bag stuffing will take place at Eagle Aviation located at 2861 Aviation Way, West Columbia, SC on Friday, November 22 in two shifts. The first is 2:00pm-4:00pm and the second is 4:00pm-6:00pm. Up to 200 volunteers are needed for each shift. Students and others who require volunteer hours may use this time towards their requirements.
