Hiring Our Heroes Veterans Event Comes to Columbia February 11

downloadFor the third consecutive year, the Greater Columbia Chamber of Commerce is pleased to help sponsor Hiring Our Heroes on Tuesday, February 11.  This one-of-a-kind, FREE employment fair will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Solomon Center, located at 6510 Strom Thurmond Blvd., Fort Jackson. Businesses in attendance will have immediate jobs available.  The event is for veterans, active duty military members, Guard and Reserve members and their spouses. Invited guests include Governor Nikki Haley, Major General Bob Livingston and Brigadier General Bradley Becker.

A workshop for veterans and other military job seekers that focuses on resume writing, tips for successfully navigating fairs, military skill translation and interviewing will start at 9 a.m. To register for the Hiring Our Heroes Employment Workshop, click here.

Employers and job seekers must pre-register at HoH.GreatJob.net. Job seekers attending the fair are urged to upload their resume prior to the event, as it will be distributed to employers the week of the hiring fair.
