CAE Director of Human Resources Graduates from Rotary Leadership Institute

CB RotaryChappelle Broome, Columbia Metropolitan Airport’s Director of Human Resources and DBE Liaison, has graduated from the Rotary Leadership Institute.

Ms. Broome is a long-time Rotarian and the 2014-2015 President-Elect for the Cayce-West Columbia Rotary. She graduated from the Rotary Leadership Institute on March 15th with seven other Rotarians. 7750 District Governor Lorraine Angelino extended congratulations and pinned the eight new graduates.

The Cayce-West Columbia Rotary meets Tuesdays for lunch from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Brookland Conference Center on the campus of Brookland Baptist Church, Sunset Blvd. Please email Chappelle for additional information about the Cayce-West Columbia Rotary.

Popular Spring Concerts Return April 25

Village-sandhillWith the arrival of spring comes many things: Increased sunshine, warmer temperatures, and new beginnings…and Village at Sandhill’s free spring concert series, “Music at Sandhill presented by Grow Financial Credit Union.” Featuring a musical lineup of area favorites, “Music at Sandhill presented by Grow Financial Federal Credit Union” kicks off the season with Dance Party Band ― “Root Doctors” on April 25 from 7pm-9pm in Town Center Common.  Also returning for another concert season are balloon artist Nick Propst as well as a variety free rides and games beginning at 6:00pm.

Due to last year’s overwhelming response, Village at Sandhill merchant Grow Financial Federal Credit Union returns as presenting sponsor of the spring and fall Music at Sandhill concert series as well as the annual July 4 Freedom Festival and Fireworks event. The Tampa-based Federal Credit Union opened its South Carolina headquarters at Village at Sandhill last year.

Musical styles from Beach and Old Time Rock & Roll to Motown and R&B will be featured.  Here is the scheduled spring lineup:

  • May 9: Men of Distinction —Style: Beach/Party Band

Michael Adams Joins EDTS as Director of Business Development

Michael Adams joins EDTS as Dir. of Business Devel2Michael Adams has joined EDTS, a regional IT services company specializing in managed IT services, network security, and advanced infrastructure for Southeastern businesses, as Director of Business Development for the rapidly growing corporation.

A native of Greer, South Carolina, Mr. Adams has nearly 15 years of business-to-business experience encompassing sales management and customer support roles, primarily in the information technology and manufacturing arenas, and serving customers spanning a broad cross-section of industries. Most recently, he served as sales leader for a regional information technology organization overseeing business development in the Carolinas.

In his new capacity with EDTS, Mr. Adams will direct all outside sales and client development activities for EDTS across the organization’s growing Southeastern footprint, while contributing to the EDTS management team in customer service, marketing and strategic planning capacities. He will be based in EDTS’s Greenville, SC office at the NEXT Innovation Center.

A graduate of Limestone University with a B.S. in Management, he and his wife have two children and reside in Spartanburg. He is active with several Upstate chambers of commerce, serves as a United Way volunteer, and is a group leader at Grace Church.

SteeleGerald Steele, Senior Broker with NAI Avant, recently represented the seller of two outparcels totaling ±2.64 acres at the Publix on Highway 378 and Charter Oak Road in Lexington, SC. The two outparcels, consisting of 1.58 and 1.06 acres each, were acquired by Grow Financial Federal Credit Union for $1,100,000.
