Columbia Metropolitan Airport Issues Multiple Construction RFPs

columbiametroairport_logoThe Columbia Metropolitan Airport is currently advertising for the following projects: Air Cargo Roof Repair and Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) Station.  Full qualifications are available on our website at:

Both projects have MANDATORY pre-bid meetings which will allow bidders to meet potential primes and subcontractors.  The Air Cargo Roof Repair Mandatory meeting is Tuesday, April 22 at 10:00 am and the ARFF Station Mandatory meeting is Tuesday, April 22 at 2:00 pm.

The Long Run 2014 Raises $20,000 for Souper Bowl of Caring

MGC Long Run 2014 Check PresentationMcAngus Goudelock & Courie, a regional insurance defense firm, is pleased to announce that the inaugural Long Run 15k and Not-So-Long Run 5k raised $20,000 for Souper Bowl of Caring.

“The generous gift generated from The Long Run 15k and The Not-So-Long-Run 5k is well-timed and much-needed,” said Brad Smith, Souper Bowl of Caring Founder and Board Chair. “We’re deeply grateful for this significant support which will mobilize thousands of young people in congregations and schools in every MGC community to raise funds that will go one-hundred percent to agencies that help needy people.

Held on Sat., Feb. 1, The Long Run 15k was presented by MGC and The Not-So-Long Run 5k was presented by Midlands Orthopaedics, P.A. Over 500 runners and walkers and 250 volunteers came out to support Souper Bowl of Caring.

“MGC had a vision for an event that combined our wellness and charitable giving programs, as well as supporting the Midlands community,” said Jay Courie, MGC Managing Member. “The Long Run did just that. This race brought together runners, walkers and volunteers who had the drive to reach a goal while helping Souper Bowl of Caring.”

The 2015 races are scheduled for Sat., Feb. 7. More information will be available soon at www.mgclongrun.com.

She recently relocated from Philadelphia, PA, where she worked at a structural and restoration engineering firm. Stephanie received her B.S. in Psychology from Pennsylvania State University and has a background in providing administrative support to engineering, human resources, and marketing professionals.

Rick SchroderRick Schroder, Business Development, joins Mashburn’s Greenville office. A graduate of Auburn University, Rick has an industrial and systems engineering background and brings a wide variety of experience in project management, design and development to Mashburn.

Daniel Skinner, PE, joins Mashburn’s Columbia officeas Director of Safety, Quality Control and Regulatory Affairs. Prior to his position at Mashburn, Daniel served as an engineer with the Office of State Fire Marshal (OSFM) under the South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing & Regulations. Shonda N. Davis Joins Palmetto Health Foundation

Shonda_DavisPalmetto Health Foundation is pleased to announce Shonda N. Davis has been named administrative/volunteer assistant on the Public Relations team at Palmetto Health Foundation.

Davis was most recently vice president/marketing and communications chair for DACS, Incorporated, a non-profit organization she co-founded in 2012. DACS, Incorporated empowers women to be determined to achieve and challenged to serve their communities as volunteers. She also previously worked as an accident claims examiner at Aflac Group Insurance.

In her role at Palmetto Health Foundation, Davis works with the Public Relations team on administrative needs and assists with fundraising events and volunteer management.
