Saluting Our Military | Colonial Cup Steeplechase Race

colonial cupThe Carolina Cup Racing Association is offering complimentary tickets to military service members and their families. They invite soldiers to their 45th annual Marion du Pont Scott Colonial Cup Steeplechase Race Day and fifth annual “Saluting Our Military” celebration on November 15.

We’re giving away 3,000 free general admission tickets along with 500 free Infield reserved parking spaces to our military–active guard and retired–and their families to this year’s Colonial Cup. It’s our way of saying “thank you”.

Tickets and reserved parking spaces will be given out on a first-come, first-serve basis beginning September 15, 2014. Tickets must be picked up at the Carolina Cup Racing Association, 200 Knights Hill Road, Camden, SC 29020. Military personnel must present a current military id in order to get tickets. Military guests may request up to six complementary general admission tickets and one complementary infield reserved parking space. At this 45th running of the Marion du Pont Scott Colonial Cup steeplechase race day, please be our guests as we thank our military and their families in ways that go beyond an afternoon of fun and relaxation. Come spend your weekend in Camden, the site of a major Revolutionary battle and the perfect place to honor our military heroes.

Special pre-race show at 11:00 am with official Swearing In ceremony of US Army recruits. Gates open at 9:00 am, Post time for the first of six races is 12:30 pm. Approximately 35-40 minutes between each race.  Fun, family activities begins at 9:30 am.
