EDTS Earns Two Microsoft Gold Competencies

Charles Johnson CEO of EDTSEDTS, a regional IT solutions business specializing in managed IT services, network security, and advanced infrastructure, has earned two Microsoft Gold competencies, distinguishing itself within the top one percent of Microsoft’s partner ecosystem.

As a Microsoft Gold level partner since 2000, EDTS works intimately with Microsoft teams and products to improve businesses across the Southeast. Again this year, Microsoft recognized EDTS with two unique gold competencies: Gold Midmarket Solution Provider and Gold Small and Midmarket Cloud Solutions. Demonstrating a “best-in-class” ability within the Microsoft solution areas, these competencies confirm EDTS’ extensive knowledge, experience and ongoing commitment to meet customers’ evolving needs in today’s competitive landscape.

To earn a Microsoft gold competency, EDTS aced a series of rigorous exams, while also demonstrating successful implementation of Microsoft products based on customer testimonies that experienced value first hand. EDTS also met revenue, staff capacity, and operational excellence requirements.

Earning the Cloud Solutions competency helps partners differentiate themselves as a trusted expert to build, integrate and/or extend application and infrastructure solutions in the Cloud using services like Office 365 and infrastructure such as Microsoft Azure. Likewise, the Solution Provider competency touches many points within the technology business environment, but especially now, customers can look to EDTS for support and deployment of the Windows 2012 server projects.

Midmarket-business customers need partners who understand their goals, processes, and opportunities. Earning these esteemed competencies distinguishes EDTS by demonstrating expertise in providing critical infrastructure solutions, based on the most current Microsoft desktop, business-management, and server technologies, customized to support midmarket businesses with their unique challenges.

“The Gold Midmarket Solution Provider and Gold Small and Midmarket Cloud Solutions competencies showcases our breadth of experience and application of tools and talent in this market,” said Charles Johnson, CEO of EDTS.  “We are committed to progressive technology that moves the needle for our customers.”

‘’By achieving a gold competency, partners have demonstrated the highest, most consistent capability and commitment to the latest Microsoft technology,” said Jon Roskill, corporate vice president, Worldwide Partner Group at Microsoft Corp. “These partners have a deep expertise that puts them in the top one percent of our partner ecosystem, and their proficiency will help customers drive innovative solutions on the latest Microsoft technology.”

EDTS has also been ranked 121st among managed service providers worldwide on the 2014 MSPmentor 501 Global Edition list, named to the Elite 2015 MSP Pioneer 250 List, and has been named to the Inc. 5000 Fastest-Growing Private Companies in America for five consecutive years. The firm ranks among the fastest-growing companies in South Carolina on multiple lists
