On the 14th Anniversary of 9/11, we remember and honor those who lost their lives and those who continue to sacrifice to protect us.
Chamber representatives participate in a variety of meetings and activities each week. Some noteworthy activities from the past week include: the Change of Command Ceremony at Fort Jackson; a planning meeting for the 100 Year Celebration of Fort Jackson; the USO Advisory Board meeting; a meeting with the City Manager to discuss Business Friendly Task Force recommendations for the 2015/2016 year; the City Center Partnership Board meeting; the City of Columbia Office of Economic Development briefing from the Columbia Fireflies Baseball Team; the SCANA Minority Suppliers Council Meeting; the issuing of a letter to the editor opposing the City Council healthcare benefits retirement proposal.

At the Diplomat meeting, we thanked outgoing chairperson, Janice Jarvis with Roper Staffing, for her guidance during the past year and welcomed Clay Davenport with AllSouth Federal Credit Union into the leadership role.
